Commissioners are being asked to operate in different ways to develop new and innovative ways of providing services in their areas. They cannot do this in isolation and need to work across the whole health and local government system to be fully fit for this purpose. Sometimes, however, those relationships, processes and arrangements are not in place or not fully effective. CSIP's new range of Readiness Tools enables colleagues working within and across systems, to assess ways of working better together which work on the basis of a scored on-line self-assessment.
Janet Crampton, CSIP's National Programme Lead for Commissioning talks to Professor Bob Hudson of Durham University, and Dave Hudson, the software designer of Densen Co, who have developed the Readiness Tools product.
